What to expect
After discussing your cosmetic goals and reviewing your facial anatomy, your treatment sites will be selected. Small amounts of the Dysport will be injected into targeted facial muscles. The actual treatment requires only about 10 minutes, with no recovery time. Results appear gradually over 1-2 weeks and last up to 3-4 months.

Dysport treatments for some patients may cause a small amount of localized pain, bruising, inflammation or swelling, which is easily treated with a cold compress. All botulinum toxins have the same mechanism of action: blocking the release of acetylcholine (ACh) and preventing the muscles from contracting to maintain the aesthetic effect. However, the dose of Dysport is not the same as the dose of any other botulinum toxin product and cannot be compared to the dosage of any other botulinum toxin product that you may have previously used.
