An exfoliation technique using a sterile surgical scalpel to gently remove dead skin cells and fine facial hair from the skin's surface.
What is it?
Dermaplaning is great as a stand alone treatment for removal of vellus hair (peach fuzz), dead skin exfoliation, improvement of skin tone and texture and instant skin brightening. Dermaplaning is appropriate for the majority of skin type, however it is not suitable for active acne, inflammatory skin conditions or those with excessive facial hair growth.
Dermaplaning can also be added to other procedures we offer like chemical peels, DiamondGlow facial and Microneedling for next level results.
It is best to have dermaplaning under the care of certified medical professional instead of purchasing the at home dermaplaning kits online.
What to expect
During treatment, you may experience a mild scratching or scraping sensation on your skin. This is a normal response and should not cause discomfort. Using a sterile surgical scalpel, we gently remove dead skin cells and unwanted hair. The small blade moves back and forth, effectively exfoliating the top layers of your skin.
Treatment duration can range from 15 minutes to an hour, depending on the area being treated. Afterward, we’ll apply a soothing gel or ointment to the treated areas to help calm the skin.

Actually, no. Dermaplaning helps prevent clogged pores and hair follicles by removing dead skin, which can otherwise lead to breakouts and block the absorption of skincare products. By exfoliating the skin, dermaplaning promotes better skin clarity and allows your products to penetrate more effectively.
No. This is the #1 misconception. Dermaplane removes the hair on the surface of the skin and does not touch or change where the hair originates from in the follicle. Because of this, there is no change in the texture or thickness of the hair as it grows back.
Most likely, yes! The majority of people are good candidates for this non-invasive treatment. Patients with moderate to severe active acne may be more appropriate for other treatments or may use dermaplaning in conjunction with other procedures as part of a more comprehensive care plan.
